Promise

Elsdon Park’s ‘ETP Welfare Promise’ is to ensure that every ETP-branded or Elsdon Park-owned horse is provided with a secure and nurturing environment after their retirement from racing.

To achieve this, our Welfare and Traceability programme is proud to be aligned with experienced retrainers EventStars and Jess Land Equestrian.

Through this partnership, we are committed to guaranteeing all of our horses access to assistance that will enable them to transition smoothly into quality and suitable homes when they retire. To support this initiative, we have established the ETP Welfare Fund, dedicated to providing the necessary resources and assistance for these horses to thrive in their post-racing lives.

While this initiative is currently for NZ based horses, by the end of 2025 we will provide the same opportunity for ETP horses overseas. This additional time will enable us to have embedded our protocols and navigated any initial challenges.

The well-being of our horses beyond the racetrack is something we place great importance on and is an essential part of our business model.
